LED flashlights run a lot longer on a pair of batteries... We left one of these on over night and it was still looking pretty good in the morning. LED bulbs don't burn out as quickly as regular bulbs. These are somewhat water resistant. We dropped one in a bucket of water for 5 minutes and then let it sit out to dry... and it never turned off or shorted out.
