Second: Check which cartridge your particular machine is set up to accept: Log in to Administrator Mode: Press 'Login/out' button on the console (or 'Access A' button on older models). It will prompt you either for a ‘User ID’ or for a password... If it asks for ‘User ID’, the default is ‘admin’ (this is only for the 56xx and 57xx models)… and the default password is '1111' (true for all models).
Next press 'Go to Tools', or the 'Tools' tab, then press 'More', then press 'Consumable Management', then press 'Service Plan'. The three possible plans will appear on the screen. The one which is selected will appear "grayed out". If it says "Type A" then you'll need to use the ‘Sold’ version (113R610 or 113R674 depending on the model), if it says "Type B" then you can use 113R608... or 113R610 (113R672… or 113R674). Just keep in mind that once you install a 113R610 (or 113R674), There's no going back (once a 113R610 or 113R674 cartridge is installed in a machine, the machine will require the 113R610 OR 113R674 from then on and will reject the 113R608 or 113R672 as being "improper").
